Build a profile that shows your work properly

Your profile is not a formality before the “real” part of The Connect. It is how your work gets understood before you ever enter the room.

Start with:

  • a clear display name and handle;

  • a short introduction in your own voice;

  • your location and whether you work remotely or travel;

  • the disciplines and skills you actively use;

  • the kinds of opportunities you want next;

  • at least one strong project that gives people something real to look at.

You do not need to list every tool you have ever opened or make yourself sound more experienced than you are. Show the work you want to be associated with, explain what you contributed and credit the people who contributed with you.

If you work across several disciplines, let the projects show that range. Your current skills and your opportunity interests are separate, so you can also tell The Connect what you want to move towards.

Keep personal contact details out of public project descriptions. Use The Connect's messaging and Invite routes when a client wants to discuss work.
